General
  1. The SK Quah RUN for FUNd is initiated by Canossians United (CU) and organised by Canossian Alumni Association (CAA) in accordance with the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). It is supported by St Anthony's Canossian Secondary School (SACSS). CAA, CU and SACSS shall therefore be referred to collectively as "The Organisers" of this event.

  1. The Organisers reserve the right to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of the Event for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising.
Pre-requisites
  1. Participants are required to fill up the relevant indemnity declaration forms as deemed necessary by the Organisers upon registration, failing which, the Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or participation to any participant. Participants below the age of 21 are required to seek parental/ guardian consent in addition to the completion of the relevant indemnity declaration forms.
Registration
  1. Completion of the official entry form evidences the Participants' agreement to abide by the relevant Rules and Regulations of the IAAF and the SK Quah RUN for FUNd.

  1. The Organisers reserve the right to limit/ or refuse entries without giving any reason.

  1. Registration will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis and will be closed once the maximum number of Teams for each Race has been reached and/or by the stated deadline, whichever occurring earlier.

  1. The Organisers will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or illegible entry details.

  1. Registration will not be accepted on race day (ie. 31 Jan 2009).
Race
  1. Participants must wear the assigned Bib Number on the chest area of the running shirt. Participants not wearing a Bib Number will be taken off the course by the Officials of the race.

  1. There are three Race Categories – Student, Open and Sponsored. The team registration fees for each category are $80, $400 and $1000 respectively.

  1. The Event will be organised in two Races at such time that shall be decided by The Organisers. Each Race will last three hours.

  1. Race category and race entry are strictly non-transferable.

  1. Participants are not allowed to take part in more than one race category.

  1. There will only be a maximum of thirty-five Teams of Participants for each Race. Each Team will be allowed to register four to eight Participants only. For every four Participants in a Team, only one Male Participant is allowed.

  1. Each Participant in the Open and Sponsored categories will be given a goodies bag. The contents of goodie bags shall be decided solely by The Organisers.
Prizes
  1. Scoring system: The top three Teams of each Race with the longest distance covered will be awarded prizes.

  1. Other novelty prizes, not based on the distance covered, will be awarded at The Organiser's discretion.
Safety and Medical
  1. Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organisers to ensure the Participants' safety, Participants run at their own risk and the Organisers will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for or during participation in the race. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race day.

  1. A Participant must retire from the race immediately if required to do so by any member of the official medical staff.
Cancellation/Withdrawal
  1. Once registration has been duly processed, there will be no fee refund for Participants who do not eventually take part in the Event, for any reason whatsoever.

  1. There will be strictly no fee refund if the Event is cancelled for any reason whatsoever.

  1. In the event of bad weather, the race may be delayed. However, should the bad weather persist, the Organisers reserve the right to cancel the race without any fee refund.
